Original Intrepid International Fleece Tail Braid for Horses - Soft & Durable Horse Tail Wrap for Riding, Training, and Show Competitions

I was hesitant to try this tail braid out when it came in just because it’s definitely heavier than the Lycra variety, it’s a thick wool, and it’s about 120 degrees here in the summer. So glad I gave it a try! It holds up 1000 times better than the tail braids made of Lycra, my horse doesn’t mind the extra weight, it stays in amazing, and the wool doesn’t really rest on my geldings legs so it doesn’t keep him hot (hotter than he already is). The Lycra tail braids are great but within a month they’re shredded at the bottom and developing holes up and down the actual braid. I’ve been using this tail braid for about 2 months and not a single hole, weak spot, and the bottom isn’t shredding up. My gelding is 15.2 hands with a floor length tail (doesn’t drag the ground) and this is just a teeny tiny bit too short (the very ends of his tail poke out) so I’ll definitely need to order a long next time. Other than that, absolutely in love with this tail braid and will for sure be ordering more, it’s so worth it’s price!
