It LOOKS like the ordinary lycra braid-in tail bag we all know, but there's a huge construction flaw that makes these particular ones terrible. They used 2-way stretch material and aligned it the wrong direction! The tubes have very little stretch to put your hand through to grab tail. I can get my hand (glove size 7) through the tube to grab a lock of tail, but I can't pull it back through without splitting the seams if I grasp the lock of tail -- there's no horizontal stretch. I have to carefully pinch the lock of tail between the base of 2 fingers to pull it through. Meanwhile, the stretch runs vertical, meaning that it stretches longer as you braid. These are sized to be long enough for a very tall horse with a full-length tail from the get-go. So when they stretch out they become WAY too long, regardless of how big the horse is. You end up with a huge, heavy bunch of knots at the bottom to keep it from dragging, but the draw string isn't strong enough to keep the slippery thing from sliding down.Maybe the company was trying to cut corners on material costs by running the stretch the wrong way, but they're losing customers like me by putting out garbage products like this.
