This is really pretty. We got the blue in a size 5/6 for my 4 year old who wears a size 4 or 5. The top is just a tie on the band and top so that's good to go. But the bottoms seem very narrow. They fit my 4 year old just fine. But I would say they fit more like a 3T or 4T bathing suit bottom. I was expecting her to be able to grow into these and I don't think that will be the case.The skirt is really cute. It fits just fine. It's down to the ankles for her. But it's also something she can pull up to the top and wear it more like a dress without the tummy showing.The material does not feel like a swimsuit to me. It's metallic and stretchy. But this reminds me of a dance costume or gymnastics leotard. It's not typical 'swim suit' material. It's like there is no lycra in it and it's just a spandex blend costume.She's gotten it wet and it dries okay. But it's just not the same as a real bathing suit. I think it's okay for running through the sprinklers. But I wouldn't use this for a pool party where I expect her to be really swimming in it. It's more of a costume to me.It would make an adorable Halloween costume if you had nice weather.
