2016 Jeep Wrangler JK SportI had no issues installing these or the resistors. Jeep JK Taillights are held on by two screws on each side. The two screws closest to the tailgate are all that holds them on. The other two screws in each light hold the light together.I've included two photos with the edge of a body panel highlighted in yellow. This panel is inside the cavity the wiring for the taillight is in. There are other similar panels in there to mount the resistor. Just push the clips on the brackets and then push them on the edge of a body panel. It's a bad idea to just "leave them hanging" because they can get very hot and melt the insulation on the wiring that's in there..I'm impressed that the resistors, brackets, and clips were included and already wired in. If you have a scanner, and know how to reprogram the controller for LEDs, they're not needed on some newer models. Otherwise, there they are, and they do no harm. They emulate a light bulb, since LEDs take so little power. Jeep JKs do not have flasher relays.I'll update this later if they leak. I've seen reviews of similar lights that had leaking problems, which is the reason I replaced mine. I see no such issues in reviews of these in particular, so maybe they won't. I'd previously drilled two holes in the bottom of the originals to let water drain out, but they still fogged up inside.
